Another year, another Nanowrimo.
This year coming in at 50,853 words in 30 days. As Iโve mentioned, this year was more or less a mission about writing one essay a day. As a result. I’ve broken the the backs ofย 20 essays. Its not all been fiction though as I’ve started 2 novellas, finished 1 short story and written a bunch of flash fiction.
I still have a bunch of title prompts In the document that I didnโt get round to starting. I think I might try and keep it all going. Use the momentum from November to get them done. Keep rolling on though.
One essay in particular is on Lil Miquela, Propaganda, Virtual Avatars, DAOs and NFTs. It kind of got out of hand. Im really pleased with some of the ideas in it so I think I’ll focus some energy on it and put it out before the end of the year.
Iโve also re-written about half of the essay titles I originally had in my ‘On Corporations’ book from back in 2014. I’m going to re-read both iterations and merge them together to make some sort of weird atemporal document. Seeing as the first Terry Pratchett book I ever read as a tween was โThe Carpet Peopleโ I have always felt that this is a totally acceptable thing to do.
Went up to Manchester for the night this week. Eve was working up there. But I went up to join her in town so we could go to Vrevโs the Vegan Dinner. It was really cool to go to an amazing vegan place not-in-london. I think next year weโll go on more food journeys to check out highly rated places. I had this insane Vegan Donut Burger.
Every bite of it was incredible. However … I donโt think Iโd ever eat it again. The amount of calories in it and the indigestion I had last night balanced out the whole experience. I probably shouldnโt have had a vegan french toast thing at the veggie breakfast spot we went to this morning before getting the train back to London too.

It was absolutely awesome to have my friend ADH guest host an episode, whilst I was away eating ridiculous burgers. I’m really glad he said yes. I Might ask others if they’d be up for it in future. Drop me a line if you are interested!
Andrew has a short story out in slateโs future tense today called โA Priest, a Rabbi, and a Robot Walk Into a Barโ – you should check it out. Itโs fantastic.

Project Nova is going really well. Things are pretty wild every-time I go into the office. Paul mason recently made a video about a topic I’ve been banging on about – Having a great time being involved.
I’ve turned on the related posts setting on the blog. I *may* have to go back though and make covers for the first 100 posts, which would suck. Maybe when I need a serious procrastination task I’ll take that up. Or do one a day or something.
Reading
This week Iโve been reading โSo you want to start a podcastโ itโs really interesting. Some of the points in the book Iโve done with 301 organically, others have come together naturally as I was making it. Itโs been really useful already as a book though. It is teaching me how to think about all the material that I’m sitting on, and hope to work on next year.
