That 2020 Look

I like wearing a mask in public. A lot. It should be totally normalised.

3 minutes Blog header post 150

Yikes! 150 posts.

It seems like only yesterday that I was writing in Post 101 about this blog. Nothing much has changed or to report since that post.

I was chatting to a friend on video call earlier this week, and I was saying that I am really pleased that I moved my blog to and also took the time to build out the rest of the website. It was a worth while thing to do. I think I need to address the copy on the front page etc. If anyone who reads this has strong opinions on what I should actually be saying about my self please do let me know, via DM or my contact form.

The only thing i would add, to the post from last year is that I’ve basically followed everyone who has ever linked to my blog in my RSS reader. And the less and less time I spend on social media, the more time I spend reading other peoples blogs. There is so much more depth and nuance to the fan dance that is showing your personal life online to strangers. Plus you also occasionally to hear at length someones opinion on a subject that may or may not be in the news.

Lockdown Week 14

I had to go to the pharmacy to pick up the meds that keep me alive earlier today. I’m pretty happy about going outside looking like this:

It’s a 2020 look thats for sure. It was also only the second time I’ve been outside alone since I spoke in London before lockdown. Considering how I’ve been mentally over the last few years I thought I’d be wracked with anxiety or whatever. But actually it was great. I like wearing a mask in public. A lot. It should be totally normalised.
I wish I’d worn one when I worked in/above Oxford Circus. Sometimes on a hot day the pollution would be so bad that your lungs would … itch.

Update From The Island

Barbara moved out this week, took this snap as she was packing up.

Claude had a funny argument with Louie about his muscles the other night. lol

Permanently Moved

It’s Midsummer

If you have a tin helmet, or even a tin foil hat. I’d strap it on tight. Also Fairies and Love Spells.

Permanently moved is a personal podcast 301 seconds in length, written and recorded in one hour by @thejaymo

Bit of a filler episode this week. I had to cut a huge chunk of material out so it doesn’t really conclude. It changes gear and then ends. lol ah well.

The Ministry Of My Own Labour

Oh boy. I’ve had writers block all week. First time. I’ve kept plugging away at my daily diary, but thats about it. I spent Thursday just staring at a blank google doc ALL DAY. You end up in a feedback loop of annoyance which then makes it harder to do anything the next day.

A few other friends have said they are in the same position. Weird.
